Saturday morning we started the day searching for a fun outing somewhat close to home. After the gym we tried to come up with a plan that would work out around our new eating habits. A trip to the mountains with a packed picnic, run random errands around town and be home during meal time, just stay home and be still...? Mark searched out downtown events for the weekend. Sometimes we forget what a fabulous downtown environment is just 12 short miles from our front door.

It was amazing! Such a variety of art, breathtaking portraits, hilarious paintings, amazingly beautiful jewelry. Everything from a blacksmith to a lady who made and played didgeridoos (a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1500 years ago.) One of the best parts of the day was realizing how interested the girls were in the actual art of it all and not just hoopla.
After viewing many beautiful pieces it was time for the girls to have a go of it at
Kidsphere!
It was a super day. Honestly, we would have driven quite a distance for this event and been really happy that we had. So again, we were pleasantly reminded what a great place Greenville is for our family!!
