Pumpkin Party

Our small group family has a long standing tradition of having a festive pumpkin party. There was kickball. There were lots of laughs as leaves were piled, jumped in, and ...
and used to hide in. Of coarse there was food! Yummy soups for the adults and hot dogs for the kids.
Pumpkins were carved.
Each year I know our pumpkin probably won't be taken home carved at the end of the evening. With Mark not able to go there is just no way to keep an eye on the 3 gals and carve a pumpkin. This year we took a pumpkin just in case- guess what. One daddy stepped in and cleaned our pumpkin out and another daddy took the fairy pattern Sophie picked out and started scetching and carving. I'm not sure we have ever had such a fancy pumpkin!
A flashlight walk as the dads prepared for the skeleton hunt. The skeleton hunt was fun as always. It was a GREAT time!
(The only way it would have been better is if Daddy could have been there with us!)
