9:00 Saturday morning kicked off the first round of soccer games. Haleigh was up first she had so much fun! She showed her spunk a lot more than she had in practice.
Her cheering section was strong (and stylin') as they cheered and chanted her name even when she had rotated out :)
As one little guy bumped her she got back to her feet as she lectured, "That's just not very nice at all!"
After each score she did a little monkey swing/pull up on the goal.
"We had a great game because everyone wanted the ball so we all just took turns sharing it!"
Sophie's team gathered and kicked off their game. Sophie was a little anxious but seemed to break free of some of that as she got further into the game.
Sophie's funnies:
After her first block at the goal she looked across the field and yelled. "Did you get that on camera?"
Sophie took a shot to the side of her leg as she blocked another goal and it landed behind her shin guard. She decided it would be a good idea to pick up a few extra pair of shin guards during the week so she could fully encase her lower leg in shin guards to keep her from getting hurt again :)
This is our wrap up picture. I would have loved to get some before the sweat happened, but Mark had to work this weekend so we were doing all we could to get to the field with all the necessities and all 3 gals, the pictures had to wait till we got home.
Once Mark finished work we met up with him for dinner. Then we headed home, popped some pop corn, snuggled on the couch and watched the girls games with Daddy cheering louder than anyone had all day :)
(As I put Mackenzie to bed she said, "But wait! When is my soccer practice, I want to play!")
You go girls!! Poppy and Gma are very proud of the ability to get in there and take some hits along with some goals and blocks!!You go MOM in getting them to the field before the first half was over! love, Gma
ReplyDeleteGo Haleigh! Go Sophie! Go Kenzie! You all look amazing in your orange! Good games! Good side-line stylin'!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget when Sophie's team scored a goal and she said to her coach, "I want a hug!" and he told her, "There's no hugging in soccer." ; ) Poor father of only sons. He can't handle the female exuberance!
