"First Day of School"

For the record we did start school here at home on August 3. The first few days the girls expressed their thanks to me for teaching them. Sophie said she felt great doing school again. Ha
leigh thanked me for teaching her how to hold her pencil so she could learn to write.

BUT TODAY...
we started our co-op school. Sophie has been VERY excited to get back. (We took last year off to make life a little easier with two very young ones.) Haleigh was just excited because we had been talking about it for so long. Today was a total success. The girls had a blast and did really well with the huge load of information, sitting rather still, and presenting a little something special from
their summer. Sophie presented her terrarium she made in the cub club at Great Wolf Lodge. Haleigh presented her picture of holding the lion cub at the zoo. Haleigh is stepping right in line with her sister as far as presenting goes. We acutally had to cut her off she was going so long. Then once her classmates clapped she started to go back up to speak some more - what a trip!!
Mackenzie wasn't left out of the mix. When we bought her lunchbox late last week she struggled to get it on her back, so we turned around and got her a backpack too. Oh my did she age 3 years as soon as she put it on this morning. She insisted on walking side by side with her sisters as we walked into the church for their First Day!!

(Afterwards we met Daddy at the children's museum for lots of fun!)

  1. She aged at least three years with the addition of the backpack! Love her hair!
