Ahhh! A hike to the falls!!

We started the morning with soccer games. Haleigh scored a goal and Sophie was thrilled to be there to help a friend up when she took a tough fall. Then we headed to the mountains in search of a trail where we could take in a scenic waterfall. (We had our plan mapped out, headed up the road about 1 1/2 hours when Mark told me he was ready for our book for specific directions. You guessed it, we each thought the other had grabbed it as we left the house. We pulled into a ranger station and came up with a new destination and were on our way.)

Sophie was ecstatic that she was able to touch the falls.

When Haleigh saw the immense falls she just started screaming and talking to Jesus about His creation!

The girls had a blast trying to catch salamanders.
Mackenzie played in the water for several minutes and then Mark told her to look up at how big the falls were. She just froze with a huge smile on her face.)
(Check out the water lines on the girls:)
We used to take advantage of these beautiful "waterfall hikes" often but due to life we hadn't been out on the trails much. It felt great to get back out there!! It was a sweet sweet day at King's Creek Falls!!

  2. Already read that - said that!! I'm certain they will enjoy the inside of their home the days Grandma will be the guide. Oh, the wonders of pj's all day and popcorn parties at night. There's something for Haleigh to Praise Jesus about. Can't wait... Love MOM
